River

I finally floated the river.

Tim and I went to Kerrville this weekend with family and friends to float the Guadalupe in New Braunfels. We waited too late to reserve a campsite in New Braunfels, so we ended up in Kerrville at the Shriner Campgrounds--very pretty. We went to eat at a Chilis on the river on Saturday night and came back to camp and roasted marshmellows. Then, on Sunday, we drove about an hour to New Braunfels, rented our "toobs", floated for about 4 hours, ate at the Gristmill in Gruene, and headed back to camp for some more marshmellow roasting and sang Kum bay ya (ok so we didn't sing Kum bay ya, but we sang some other fun songs that our camping neighbors really appreciated). Finally, on Monday we packed up camp and drove to Fredricksburg to eat at an authentic German place and to visit one of Spencer's friends, Mr. Zenner, at his peach orchard/processing place. It was really awesome to watch--we even got two boxes of free peaches! Here are some of the few pictures I took. I really need to get a new camera AND start taking more pictures!

Tim and I at the Gristmill--he forgot to smile.

Lots of boxes of peaches!

Picking out the bad ones.

Pretty peaches!

Hope everyone is staying cool in this miserably hot weather!
