I'm Baaaaaaaaaack!
Geez, it's been long enough. School has completely enveloped me the fast few weeks. I still have the rest of this week, then tests Mon/Tuesday and PINNING on Wednesday (Pinning=getting my RN pin, aka graduation basically). I will definitely post a picture of it when I get it. I can't believe it is already here! I don't think it will officially set in until I take my boards in June.
So I have found another TV show that I love: 9 by design. It comes on Bravo on Tuesday nights--I'm watching it right now actually!! They have 7 kids with the craziest names. I mean, one of them is named "Five" because he's the 5th kid. Love it. I am a fan of crazy names. I asked Tim if we could name our first child "One"...I don't really even need to finish the sentence. Lol. We have tons of fun names picked out for our future children though, just not that crazy. Anyways, the husband and wife redo houses in New York into these awesome vintage looking places. They go to flea markets in Paris and other places and pick up the neatest stuff. I can't wait to get to some flea markets and garage sales to start decorating this place! I need to pick out some paint colors first though and that is really hard!!
Tim. Where do I start. His job is NUTS! He has been working so much. I'm sure y'all are waiting for the day I post that he is NOT busy. Ha. That will be, like, when he retires. He is such a hard-worker by nature that he probably won't ever quit working. Ahh I love him.
I hope you guys can be happy with this post! I need to go get some sleep. I'm an old lady now who goes to bed at 10....ok only when I have to get up before 9 the next morning :)
Goonight friends! It's good to be back in the world again with you all!

A Hiccup
I'm sorry that there's been a HUGE hiccup in my blogging awesomeness but let me just tell you about the past 3 weeks:
--we moved into our house
--we continued to move into our new house
--we forgot to get the internet switched over
--we made an appointment to get the internet switched over
--the day we were supposed to get the internet switched over Tim was on a rig call in the booneys and didn't have service to answer their call
--I got a stomach bug and spent a night in the hospital and 3 days recovering
--NOW WE HAVE INTERNET AND I'M TOO TIRED TO BLOG (I just wrote BLAG and had to back-up)
So this is the band aid on my blogging booboo's. I will fix it hopefully in the next few days and catch you up on our lives. I know everyone is DYING to know. Ha, not really.
Goodbye!

Pants on da ground
Ya, I have that song stuck in my head. How awful, huh?
It is Friday. The last official day of my last official spring break. I feel as though I might shed a tear. It was a good spring break though. I got lots of packing and sleeping done. We move a week from tomorrow into our new house and I am so excited! I have to give myself pep talks before I walk in to any store because all I want to do is start buying things for the house. I have to think "No Katherine, wait until you get moved and then you can go crazy, okay?" It quite hilarious. We are going by the house tomorrow to put our refrigerator in the garage. The owners (who are already moved out) were kind enough to allow us to store it there until the big day. I need to think of a name for our house. I name everything: my car, my shoes . . . so it just feels right. I'll think of it soon--no suggestions please. So, by the way, the moving party will be on Saturday, March 27th beginning around 10 a.m. Come help and I will feed you lunch! :)
Ok bedtime bye!

Study Study Study
I should be studying right now... I have a test tomorrow.
It seems like that's all I do now. I have never been a study-er. I don't get bad grades but I just can't sit and study for long periods at a time. So I take lots of breaks to eat, pee, walk around, play a game on the computer or throw Jinx's mouse around for her. I managed to get a video of her fetching the other day. I will get it on here when I figure out how to do that.
This weekend was interesting/fun/quick. Friday I had clinical at MCH until around 7:15 p.m. I went over to mom and dad's for dinner after because Tim was working late. I think he made it home around 10:30 or so. We went out for lunch together on Saturday and then I went with my parents to Lamesa to meet my family from Lubbock to celebrate my Grandmother's birthday. Tim couldn't go because he was on "rig call" for work. My phone rang around 6:30 p.m. ... a rig was broken down. Yuck. I hate hearing those words. He didn't get home until 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Rig's scare me. They are dangerous and I have seen some of the accidents in the E.R. This makes it hard for me to sleep when he's gone. So, needless to say we slept in on Sunday morning and enjoyed a fairly lazy day together.
Well I have a busy week coming up so sayanora til later!

We bought a HOUSE!
Well we can finally let the secret out: we bought a house. We wanted to wait until the inspections and negotiations were over before we told everyone. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

Yay. It is really exciting! Tim and I have always dreamed about owning a home and can't believe how blessed we have been to find this house. It has really been a work of the Lord because the timing and the stories that go along with it are truly miraculous. Now I get to pick out paint colors and start shopping the garage sales for furniture. So, if you have any cool furniture that you feel like tossing out soon--don't, I might want it! We officially close at the end of March so I won't have any other pictures up until then. The interior of the house needs a little paint and TLC so I will be posting some fun before and after pictures. Get excited! Also, if anyone just loves to paint, I would love your assistance. There might even be an edible reward.
Not much else has been going on other than the house business so I will leave you with my verse of the day.
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless." 1 Cor. 15:58
Love!

Brr.
It is muy frio outside. I am working on my Espanol. It is very importante in the ER because probably 40% of people coming in are spanish speaking only. I have been having a great time in clinicals which is good considering I am there 12-24 hours a week--It's too bad we aren't getting paid for those hours. So far I have seen more than I imagined and have learned more than I can imagine. I love how diverse the ER is and think it will really help me in the future because I will know quite a bit about almost any situation.
It's hard to think of anything to talk about other than school because it is pretty much consuming my life right now. I want to give everyone a big huge apology for the past month and for the next 3 because I will not be seeing you much. I am not ignoring anyone. It is hard to choose friends over my sweet husband when I finally get a night off because he seems just as busy, if not more. We were blessed to spend an entire day together this past Sunday. It was awesome. I am still so very much in love with this man I married. I was thinking the other day about how God picked us out for eachother when we were only creatures in our mother's stomaches and how He must have laughed every time we dated someone other than eachother.
Ok I have writers block.
Well, let us all pray for snow tomorrow so I don't have class.
Good evening!

Oh my.
It has been a crazy last couple of weeks.
I started clinical in the ER over at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. I have to be there at 6:30 a.m. and get off at 7 p.m. Some weeks I will be over there Wednesday and Thursday, and some weeks just Friday. It is weird to leave the house while it's dark outside and drive home in the evening also in the dark. I have been able to see a lot of crazy/fun things over there and really really love being in the ER. I will get to stay there all semester long. Oh ya--I still have class--and it is challenging. We have a cardiac test coming up that'll be a doozie.
Tim's job has kept him extremely busy the last few weeks as well. We feel like we hardly see each other some nights, especially when I have clinical. We have just enough time to scarf down a meal together and say goodnight! He works most days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Starting these 12-hour clinicals has really been an eye-opening experience for me and I now know just how exhausted he is when he gets home. It's rough. But hey, it is only a season!
My little baby kitty goes tomorrow to have some "female" surgery. I hope it helps to settle her down because she wakes me up a lot at night. Though I will feel sorry for her tomorrow night, I am looking forward to some post-op peace :) Poor thing.
Well we don't have too many plans in the upcoming weeks other than endless school and work/clinical. I am super excited to watch the Saints beat the Colts! I hope they win! They have never even been to the Super Bowl before so how cool would it be if they won?
I guess that is all I can think up to say in this post!
Have great weekends everyone!
